What started as a lighthearted reality show about a talented nail artist and her outrageous family turned into an explosive docu-series that exposed family secrets and explored addiction.

Unpolished is focused on three women who own and operate a nail salon in Long Island.  Lexi Martone, the protagonist, is a talented artist who applies her artistry to fingernails.  Bria, her sister, is a hairstylist and co-owner of Salon Martone.  And their mother Jen acts as office manager and oversees the operation.

Big, east coast Italian-American characters are familiar on cable television, but the magic of Unpolished is in the storytelling and its ability to reveal the cast's humanity beneath their archetypes.
